BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & PROJECT EXECUTIVE

LOCATION: KUALA LUMPUR (MALAYSIA)

Austrade is seeking a Business Development & Project Executive to support the team in delivering projects and initiatives to promote trade, investment and international education opportunities in Malaysia and across ASEAN.

The role assists in the delivery of industry sector initiatives and projects that support the achievement of Austrade’s business plans and selected initiatives across ASEAN.

The role benefits from being part of a global team in over 80 offices which shares experience and ideas, and works closely with the team in Australia and ASEAN to implement initiatives locally and ensure that marketing and business development activity is of a high standard.

To be a strong contender for this position, you will need to have knowledge of, or at least 1 to 2 years business development or demonstrated experience in managing projects in priority sectors. You should be able to work as part of a team to deliver major projects and business development activities, develop communication and marketing products and research activities to achieve business outcomes. The role requires a candidate with highly developed oral and written communications skills in English.  Candidates with a “self-starter”, agile, outcome driven work ethics with the ability to work on several projects and priorities at any given time with minimal supervision will be highly regarded. Experience in working in an international environment would be an advantage.

This position requires a minimum Bachelor level tertiary qualification in International Business, Marketing, Communications or relevant field.

This is a locally-engaged position governed by Malaysian Labour Law and Austrade’s Overseas Engaged Employees Terms and Conditions of Employment, and is subject to pre-engagement screening including security assessment. Candidates must currently have the right to live and legally work in Malaysia.
