ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (BB2)
 


Applications are invited for the position of Administrative Assistant attached to the Education and Science Section (Australian Education International) within the Australian High Commission.


Duties of position
 
Under direction of the Deputy Director:
   • Undertake administrative tasks including photocopying, filing and processing of incoming and outgoing mail;

   • Management of simple procurement and accounts payable processes;

   • Assist with event planning and co-ordinating;

   • Manage Counsellors diary and make travel arrangements;

   • Communicate and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including meeting preparation and participation as required;

   • Accounts management: maintain assets register, collate payment requisitions according to schedule.

   • Other administrative tasks as required.


Selection criteria

1. Experience in providing administrative support.

2. Demonstrated organisation skills.

3. Experience in undertaking office administration duties (ie word processing, excel, finance processing).

4. Experience in liaising with and building productive working relationships with stakeholders.

5. Experience in working in a small team environment and the ability to work effectively with a minimum of supervision.

The successful candidate will be offered a fixed term contract for up to 2 years. Salary range is from RM3050 to RM4405 per month plus two months contractual bonus and other benefits. Actual salary will be negotiated with successful applicant, dependent on experience and qualifications.
