Services to Australians: Consular & Australian Passports

These pages are to assist Australians visiting Malaysia. A passport with at least six (6) months validity remaining is required for all persons entering Malaysia.

The Australian High Commission continues to provide consular assistance for Australians in Malaysia.

Notarial Services
10:00am to 12:00 noon (Monday to Thursday). As a result of the Malaysian Government’s Movement Control Order (MCO), the Australian High Commission will not be providing notarial services until further notice.

Consular and Passport Services
8:30am - 4:00pm (Monday to Friday). As a result of the Malaysian Government’s Movement Control Order (MCO), the Australian High Commission will be providing only limited passport services until further notice.

After Hours Consular and Passports Assistance:
Australian Citizens  who require urgent consular and passport assistance after normal working hours may call +603 2145 5555 (within Malaysia) to be directed to the Consular Emergency Centre in Australia.  

Please note:

Honorary Consul offices in Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Penang can accept submission of Australian passport applications and provide limited consular assistance.  

Honorary Consul offices cannot perform Notarial Services, including certification of documents, witnessing of signatures, etc.  These services can only be performed at the Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.
