Services to Australians: Consular & Australian Passports
These pages are to assist Australians visiting Malaysia. A passport with at least six (6) months validity remaining is required for all persons entering Malaysia.
The Australian High Commission continues to provide consular assistance for Australians in Malaysia.

Passport and Notarial Services
In line with the Malaysian Government’s enhanced COVID-19 measures, the Consular and Passport section will have limited passport and notarial appointments.
Please call us on +603 2146 5575 or email [email protected] to book an appointment. Please note that you will only be permitted entry into the High Commission, no more than 15 minutes before your appointment time.

Australian Citizens who require urgent consular and passport assistance after normal working hours may call +603 2145 5555 (within Malaysia) to be directed to the Consular Emergency Centre in Australia.
Please note:
Honorary Consul offices in Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Penang can accept submission of Australian passport applications and provide limited consular assistance.
Honorary Consul offices cannot perform Notarial Services, including certification of documents, witnessing of signatures, etc. These services can only be performed at the Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.
Honorary Consul offices do not assist in immigration, visa or Australian citizenship enquiries. Please see the contact details of the visa and migration section here.
