Job Vacancy - Administrative Assistant (Property and Services)

Administrative Services and IT Assistant (Broadband 2)

Applications are invited for the position of Administrative Services and IT Assistant within the Australian High Commission. 
 

Duties

• Provide IT infrastructure services including desktop applications, local area networks, IT security and telecommunications;
• Maintain Australian High Commission’s intranet, website and other IT systems;
• Attend to helpdesk queries and handle customer requests;• Assist with managing IT and Communication equipment at post including acquisition; maintenance, stock take, replacement, billing and disposal programs;
• Undertake office administration (e.g. billing, vendor and customer liaison, etc);
• Undertake bank reconciliation service and other tasks as directed.


Selection Criteria

• Degree/Diploma in IT qualification with minimum one year experience in IT system administration;
• Strong knowledge of network management practices and procedures;
• Thorough knowledge of helpdesk operations to include a good knowledge of IT best practices, industry trends and strong customer service;
• A thorough knowledge of the MS Office suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access);
• Good written and spoken English skills are essential in order to explain complex IT concepts to non technical colleagues.
• Capacity to self-manage, works with limited supervision, analyse information and exercise sound decisional judgement.
The successful candidate will be offered a fixed term contract until 30 June 2013. Minimum salary per month is RM2738.00 plus two months contractual bonus and other generous benefits. Performance bonus also applies.
