EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full time (Initial contract up to 12 months)
MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: RM3050 to RM4405
CLASSIFICATION: Broad Band Level 2
POSITION ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
There are two visa processing teams and one administrative team in the Immigration Office at the Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur. The vacancies to be filled will undertake a range of duties including visa processing, integrity or administrative work. The occupants are expected to effectively manage priorities, make lawful visa decisions, contribute towards the delivery of program targets and promote team and office cohesion in the context of a busy office environment.
In this role you can expect to:
• Assess and decide applications for visas in accordance with applicable law, migration policy and with consideration of integrity concerns. The visa assessment/decision process may include interviewing clients and/or sponsors.
• Undertake office administrative duties, this may include revenue receipting, payment processing, liaison with service providers, data entry, filing and general administration tasks as required.
• Provide excellent client service by effectively liaising with a culturally and linguistically diverse range of clients and providing accurate, timely, consistent and appropriate information to clients.
• Manage and prioritise your own caseload including recording accurate and timely file notes and decisions in Departmental computer systems.
• Work collaboratively and flexibly within your team and across the office to deliver business outcomes in a diverse and challenging environment of competing priorities.
• Respond positively to change, showing initiative and willingness to focus on achieving identified priorities.
